WHY THE BLOG

A writer I am not. Play with words is the last in my list... 'LEARNING DISORDER AND CHILD PSYCHOLOGY'. As the first is relatively new to me, and studying on these has opened the door to a new world for me, I've decided to set up this blog to share my knowledge and experiences. This is how it started..

They say "You can't change the world" but I believe we must always strive on making it a better place to live in. Hence the blog...

DISCLAIMER

Now, this blog is like a 'scrap book' of mine and the name 'Pearlz of Tots' (pearls of thoughts).

The blog is basically a collection of articles I come across in the papers, magazines, books, world wide web or anywhere else that I pick, store and edit which is of interest to me. Yes, some are my own.. but as I've said, I am no writer or scholar... just a being who wishes to share with those who'd enjoy reading what I've posted and if it is of benefit... Alhamdulillah.

Please know that I am IT illiterate. I just started with computers in mid 2007 and actually gotten myself addicted to it. It's such an overwhelming experience having to be able to gain knowledge at a flick of your fingertips... It was in 2009 that a friend suggested blogging ~ after all, writing heals and the pen is mightier than the sword when it comes to hacking your way out of a jungle of problems. I am here now through a lot of trial and errors. However, I am enjoying every minute of it.

INTEREST
hmmm... everything and anything interest me. It all depends on my mood. From Psychology and Philosophy of Mind, Sociology, Astrology & Mythology, Technology, Forensic Psychology, Forensic Science into Business and Management, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Social Media inclusive of Arts, Designs, Fashion, Movies, TV series, Music, Dance, Languages, Cultures... amongst other things. In some, I would probably am able to own a PHd by now... if experiences is enough to grant. However, learning never ends... what you think you have master could actually be just a drop of water in the ocean... a fleck of dust in the universe. It never ends... paper qualifications? I am without one...

I admire people... young and old. I learn many from them all. Appreciate all acquaintances, good or bad. Appreciate nature and happenings, try to understand the conflicts and turmoils... it teaches me to admire lives and cherish my own. Be grateful. I am.

I AM ANONYMOUS?
No, I am not but to many, it looks like it. A chatterbox to the close ones... a moody chatterbox! I do not believe that you would know much about a person by just learning his/her name, age and origin. In my opinion, it is just the shortest way to stereotyping and it is something I really hate. So, if there is really no intention to get to know a person, why even bother with their actual identity? I smile each time I remember my first few encounters on the net... your A.S.L.?

They say; behind an amazing woman, a complete stranger lives. The next time she smiles, think about how much she hides from the world. Is this so?

I was born a Pisces with a streak of Aquarius in it... and "Pisces are . . . is a difficult sentence to finish". Need I say more?

ACCEPTANCE AND MOVING ON...

One of the things I learned the hard way was that it doesn't pay to get discouraged. Keeping busy and making optimism a way of life can restore your faith in yourself.
