I read this book, thereabout seven years ago.. well, it did move me. I then lend it to a friend… she disappeared with MY book!! Annoying. Been looking for it, no more in stock where I usually frequent till a few days ago… So, I got another copy and this time, to stay. This is a book I’d recommend to have a copy tucked somewhere in that mini library to read occasionally. It’s a good motivator.
The contents is really a story that reflects us human, associating with life in real. About accepting changes and managing it. It is sure to touch anyone who reads it. How ~ is a matter of one interpreting it.
There’s four characters in it; two mice and two ‘littlepeople’ that is the size of those mice; housed in a maze. The maze is our day to day life and what we go through. The title ‘Who moved my Cheese?’ is exactly what it is all about… The Cheese disappeared! How did the four managed it… truly reflects us and our ways. Which one portrays you? or what you prefer to be.
- Having cheese makes you happy…
- Noticing small changes early helps you adapt to bigger changes that are to come.
- Old beliefs do not lead you to new cheese.
- When you see that you can find and enjoy new cheese, you change course.
- The quicker you let go of old cheese, the sooner you find new cheese.
- If you do not change, you can become extinct.
- What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
- When you stop being afraid, you feel good!
- Movement in new direction helps you find new cheese.
